Lift Your Spirit

This is my all time favorite Christmas classic.

It could be sung by a small child or an elderly adult — I still weep.

I’m a visual person and this song pulls my imagination to that humble moment in history when all of Heaven’s hosts were in ecstasy over the birth of the Son of GOD into a dying world.

The Messiah, King of Kings, appeared in the flesh to live among us. He enters the world for whom He would give His life in a stall among animals whom He created. It smelled as animals do; there was no cradle or pampers awaiting his arrival. His mother birthed Him in the middle of what the animals slept in. Then suddenly shepherds appear to pay homage while His step father is watching the adoration pour in unsolicited.

I could only imagine … as most mothers do … what thoughts were swirling around in Mary’s head as she watched the people come in humility and sincerity. Did she have any idea what just happened?

On this Christmas day, I bid you a holy remembrance of what it cost Him to appear in skin. He felt you are worth it, Sister. He still continues to love you with a never-ending love.

Merry Christmas and enjoy your time with Him.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
