“Bring It All to Jesus” – Lisa Harper

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 NIV

So, why do we not go running to the Father at the nanosecond of sin?

Shame, blame, humiliation, fear, embarrassment, rejection … you can add yours to the list.

Instead of running to Him, we run from Him.

Whatever hurts, disappointments, tragedies, unexpected devastation, pain, grief, loss … somehow we allow all of it to wedge between us and He. And the truth is, He is the very answer to all of that — and more. But the world, environment and circumstances convince us that we have been chosen for sorrow, so our lens is skewed and out of focus. Rather than seeing Jesus as our Savior, Redeemer, Healer, Provider, Protector, King … we view Him as the One who laid these heavy things upon us.

Jesus came to this earth for you, Sweet Friend. He came to this earth for me. His mission was to save us so we can be set free from the bondage that all the earthly garbage intends to burden us with, and to cleanse us from every (and that is all inclusive of past, present and future) sin in our lives. This is what opens the door to real freedom. Because He is the door.

How would you respond to this question, “If you were to die tonight, would you go to Heaven?” Do you have that assurance that if your next breath were to be your last, you would wake up in the presence of GOD?

Come, Friend … take this critical moment to consider the forever question. Because your forever could be closer than you think.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend (and I’d love to see you there someday) ~
