Lift Your Spirit – “Praise/Anything is Possible”

This is church.

All ethnicities. All ages. All praising GOD. Kind of a sneak preview of heaven.

At first glance, I would not expect the explosion of praise as it quickly unfolded. By appearances, the suits and ties give way to a buttoned-up demeanor. That is, until the Holy Spirit was turned loose and the entire church was led in worshipful music.

I especially appreciate the words here. Words that testify to the power of GOD. Words that describe His commitment to His people – faithfulness and unwavering love. The true Promise Keeper. How can we not speak of His glory by lifting our voices?

There are those moments when you do want that old time hymn or that soft and soothing melody that gently rocks your soul in comfort. I get it, Friend.

And then there are moments like these when you just gotta let the Spirit move you and declare the goodness of GOD. Whether we are “feelin'” it or not – that is not what matters. GOD is not moody or temperamental. GOD is the same yesterday, today and forever. The Alpha and Omega – beginning and the end.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 NIV

It is when we are not “feelin'” like raising praise that is precisely the moment we should. We need to take our eyes off of us and lift them to the One who holds everything in His hand. We praise simply because of Who He is. And I can guess that things will start to turn around from there because He can break every chain.

I’m gonna see if we can do this song at my local church … *hint* Just sayin’ Pastor πŸ€—

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
