Lift Your Spirit – “Jesus I See You”

It doesn’t take much to see evidence of GOD — just look around you. Better yet, look in the mirror, Friend,

I think that sometimes we’re looking for earth-shaking, mountain-moving activity to give us reason to believe in the presence of GOD. And yet, we so easily forget that the mere fact that we awakened to a new day – to see the sun shining, hearing the sound of nature, and taking in that first breath in the morning hours. We didn’t step into this new day simply out of human strength and desire, Sister.

Everyday is a Gift – that’s why it’s called the Present. Let that sit with you for a bit.

Our prayers may even contain words that include, “Jesus, let me experience Your Presence. Let me see you …”

You have searched me, Lord,
    and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
    you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
    you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
    you, Lord, know it completely.
You hem me in behind and before,
    and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.

Where can I go from your Spirit?
    Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
    if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
    your right hand will hold me fast.

11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
    and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
    the night will shine like the day,
    for darkness is as light to you.

13 For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
    How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
    they would outnumber the grains of sand—
    when I awake, I am still with you. Psalm 139:1-19 NIV

He sees us, knows us and loves us. So, why do we think we don’t see Him? Have we forgotten that He told us He would never leave us?

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

“Never will I leave you;
    never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 NIV

Look for Him in the innocence of a child that plays carefree. See Him in the compassion of those who come to the aid of those who have no voice or resources. Hear His voice in the teachings and preachings of those who have labored and committed their lives to serving His people. See Him in action as those whose lives have transformed after having an authentic meeting with Him. Receive from Him as you enter into prayer to hear His voice speak through His written word. Watch Him in action as you step forward to lead others to Him.

Come, Friend – let your vision become more clear and celebrate.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
