who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:4 Amplified
This is why our ‘story’ matters – because it’s HIS-story in and through us.
The difficulties of life, the storms that take us sideways – they are not going to be wasted by GOD. And this is precisely why there is redemptive power in coming to Jesus to transform our lives moving forward so that we not only not remain stuck in that awful position, but so that He can live through us and touch the lives of those around us.
We all have quirky behavioral aspects about our personalities – that’s what makes each one of us amazingly unique. GOD designed us with all that quirkiness because He trusts us with it. And I’ll even go so far as to say that the crazy seasons we live through – He trusts us with those. It’s a trust that says, “If you trust Me with your situations, you will live to see the other end because I will walk with you through it all and you’ll see it in a different light when we get there.” Plus you’ll be a blessing to others going through similar situations – they’re coming up behind you, just look over your shoulder, Sister. There’s someone walking in your shadow and you just may not yet know it, but she’s watching to see how you’re “dealing” with life. That’s your cue to introduce her to your Savior..
Lysa’s tenderness in telling her story resonates of the love of GOD. She invites you to take it all to Jesus because she knows what chaos looks like, but better yet, she knows what healing feels like. It is possible and it’s also possible to continue to learn and grow into the person you were designed to be in the first place.
