Lift Your Spirit ~ “Jehovah”

Jehovah Nissi – The Lord is my banner.

Jehovah Jireh – The Lord is my provider.

Jehovah Rapha – The Lord is my healer.

Jehovah Shalom – The Lord is my peace.

You could very well say that the Lord GOD is everything that you would need. Because He simply is. He declared to Moses, “I Am.” There is no other who could own that.

When I think of the various names of GOD, they remind me of His Character. You can read through Scripture and know that those who lived out their faith in GOD were never disappointed. He is the only trustworthy One. When we honestly seek Him, He reveals Himself to us.

²⁹ But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29 NIV

” … if from there …” Where is ‘there’ for you right now, Sweet Friend? Is your current ‘there’ so far away that you don’t know how or if you’ll make it back? Are you feeling trapped ‘there’ and no one seems to understand the hurt and pain you’re experiencing? Let me share with you, from my heart to yours: Jesus is there. Smack dab in the middle of your ‘there.’ Right there with you, waiting for you to call out to Him. I urge you to open your mouth and do exactly that. Cry out to Him with all your might and expect Him to hear you — because He does.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8 NKJV

With every fiber in my body I want you to know Him — because everything He says of Himself is every bit true. Perhaps you’ve been duped by some secular teachings that led you down a rabbit hole that led only to more chaos. Maybe you’ve never had anyone show you that Jesus is a Man of His Word. Or somewhere down the road of life you just made some really bad choices and now the consequences have you spiraling. Can I tell you something? The Bible is full of people who have been there, done that and came to their senses when they threw their hands up and looked in the same direction as their raised arms.

If you need to throw up your arms because they’re so fatigued from carrying a load of stuff (can I say the word, baggage?), please know that you gotta let go of what’s in your hands in order to raise them freely. Let that sit with you for a bit.

You can rise up from ‘there’ and start to live moving forward if you reach for Jesus. You have everything to gain.
