Many of us have been living a narrative that was spoken over us when we were not old enough to know that we could reject that — and so our lives have been a struggle (to say the least). Some of us have bounced around from this identity to that, not really knowing where to land our feet — because the world says if we lean a certain way, we’ll be accepted. And there are those of us who don’t even realize that we’ve been lied to because we’ve been manipulated and convinced that we are not worthy of a lifestyle that speaks of our value.
Life is hard — that’s no secret. GOD knew that it was going to be this way long before it manifested in Eden. His Plan all along was to draw us back to Him so He sent His Son to live among us — to do life with us — so that we would know the Way back. Jesus lived life out loud according to the Father’s Will.
The more I learn about my Savior, the more I am awestruck by the enormity of His love for me. I don’t have to do a thing to be loved by Him. For a recovering people-pleaser, that’s unheard of. But it’s every bit true.
I appreciate Hosanna Wong’s style of delivery. She speaks her heart with transparency. She shares the Gospel with a fervent spirit that points back to her GOD. Hosanna’s gift of spoken word poetry captivates my mind and allows me to rise up and say, “yes, that’s me, too!” That’s the importance of doing life in community with other Believers — you can be real because Jesus is real.
