“Confronting Your Problems” ~ Christine Caine

Christine Caine has that straightforward kind of delivery style that always get directly to the heart of her message. I can appreciate that – because I tend to shy away from confrontation. Anyone else?

And her topic here is a lesson that resonates well with me. Because quite honestly, I am learning how to move forward by accepting change. The “c” word can be scary for most of us. Because as Christine reminds us, it’s walking in the unknown through the process of change that is unsettling since we have no control over anything.

If you like exactly the way things are going for you, maybe you can pass on this brief message from Christine. Perhaps you enjoy how everything is going for you and you see no need for improvement. Then by all means, invest your time elsewhere.

However, there are those of us who may be feeling slightly less than satisfied with the way we respond to situations … maybe we just don’t like the situation that we’re sitting in … could be that we’ve circled this neighborhood of circumstances far too many times in the past and we wonder why on earth we can’t seem to get any further … or we’re wondering when GOD will divinely intervene in the present crisis we find ourselves in … you can add yours here ______________________.

Whatever your struggling with, however it looks, there’s always hope for you (me). And often times the Lord’s answer to our problems is for us to let go of how we’ve been dealing with our struggles and let Him take us through a valley of change. Changing our thought process by allowing our minds to be renewed by His perspective on our lives – we can find that in His Word. Changing the way we think of ourselves and actually believing that we are valuable because He says we are – Jesus demonstrated that on the Cross.

So, what’s keeping us from stepping into the journey of change? Fear?

I asked myself that very question when I initially began my own journey of change. And yes, fear was at the root of my resistance. Fear that I would fail. Fear that others would judge me. Fear that I was misinterpreting what I thought GOD was telling me to do. Fear that I would lose everything that seemed to hold my world together. Fear that I would be asked to do things I’d never done before. Fear that I couldn’t do the things GOD would ask me to do. I nearly made myself dizzy loading up on the heaping doses of fear.

Lots of fear.

Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. 1 John 4:18 NLT

GOD will not reject us if we fail. His love for us can never be earned. His love is not performance-based. If we have experienced His perfect love, we can live fearlessly. That, Sweet Friend, is true freedom.

Come and sit for a moment to hear Christine ignite your fire to go beyond the boundaries of comfort and to live confidently and freely in the Lord – the way we were meant to live this side of Paradise.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
