You will keep in perfect peace
all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3 NLT
2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.Romans 12:2 ESV
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.2 Peter 1:3 NLT
It’s no secret that we humans are complex creatures. After all, we are wonderfully and fearfully made, right? With all the beauty and uniqueness that accompanies the individuality with which we have been gifted, also comes the responsibility to rightly steward our whole selves. Yet, so many times, we are not well equipped to steward a ‘whole self.‘ So often, this self that we see in the mirror is in desperate need of restoration.
Depending upon your situation and the people in your circle of influence, that pathway to wholeness may be a bit treacherous. If you are not surrounded by people who walk in the light, it’s virtually impossible to dispel the darkness that is trying to overshadow you. Some folks you may need to leave behind and seek out new uplifting and encouraging friends who genuinely love the Lord and want to support your desire to be made completely whole – inside and out.
We live in a an age where (finally) mental health is no longer hushed and hidden. And I so applaud Pastor Craig for coming forward with his transparency and vulnerability in this Biblical teaching through the use of his own experience of healing.
If you have wondered if it’s ‘okay’ for Christians to seek professional help … if you’ve been embarrassed about admitting that you may need to delve further into your own issues … if you have felt shamed and guilted for examining related topics as they pertain to yourself … Sweet Friend, you’re in good company.
Come and listen to Pastor Craig as he draws from the Word of GOD to support you in your journey to being healed.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~

*Thank you to Pastor Craig Groschel | LifeChurch for this.

I have not watched it yet but I love what is blog is talking about! The new Christian friends I met, some are going for mental health due to trauma. There are many Christ followers, who are psychologists. There are also addiction and mental health help in the celebrate recovery program through Saddleback. Thanks for sharing the need for awareness that it’s okay to seek professional help. And to pray and keep focus on Jesus all the time. Sent from my T-Mobile 5G Device
