It’s the onset of that time of year when the schedules of life just take hold of us ~ if we don’t take hold of the Master’s Hand. On this first day of the month, I declare that I will not surrender to busy. I will surrender to Jesus.
When you’ve lived in the fast lane of parenthood, the highs and lows of motherhood, the panic in the hallways of the workplace, the unpredictability of hormonal imbalance, and the unforeseen challenges of aging parents … you know what chaos feels like, smells like, tastes like, looks like and sounds like.
Let this be your defining moment, Sweet Friend, and place that stake in the ground. Declare that this will be a season of abiding in the Peace that came that Holy Night and pierced the darkness with His Light.
Perhaps you’re saying, “But you don’t know my life situation right now – it’s not possible!” You’re right to say that I don’t know what your circumstances are. And I respect the fact that you’re looking them straight in the eye for what they are. But take that gaze into a better direction and raise your altitude up, Friend. Look up.
The Lord Who came to set you free from all that is right there waiting for you to let Him have every bit of it. Don’t hold back. Why would you want to keep struggling on your own? How’s that working for you?
His Goodness is chasing after you ~ yes, chasing after you. He never left. Maybe life distracted and derailed you but He’s calling your name ~ at this moment. He’s wanting to transform all the craziness ~ if you’ll let Him. He’s a gentleman, so He’ll wait on you to ask Him into your life.
I guarantee you, once you taste of that relationship you’ve been running away from all this time, you will come to realize the goodness of GOD. If you’ve known Him in former days, but walked away, He won’t shame you if you make that U-turn back to Him.
Jesus Christ has never loved you more than He does right now.
