“Why Do I Feel Lonely Even When I’m Surrounded By People?” ~ Dr. Joel Muddamalle

18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is right for him.” Genesis 2:18 NCV

20 The man gave names to all the tame animals, to the birds in the sky, and to all the wild animals. But Adam did not find a helper that was right for him.  Genesis 2:20 NCV

Intimacy. Proximity. Closeness. Words that are relevant to relationship. And especially to the most important relationship in our lives: the relationship to GOD.

I can truly appreciate this expose´ on the closeness of GOD, the proximity in the Personhood of Jesus, Immanuel, as we seek to understand the reasons why we sometimes feel distant even in the midst of lots of people.

We were designed for relationship. We were lovingly intended to share relationship with GOD. We were formed to share relationship with other human beings. The first and foremost is that divine relationship ~ it is the foundation to all others. So, to look up is the priority, before looking out.

When we are not aligned with our Creator GOD, everything else is equally out of alignment. Let that sit with you for a bit.

The relationship between Adam and Eve with GOD in the Garden of Eden was the ideal; it was perfect. The first humans walked and talked with GOD on level that we, too, are meant to relate with Him. When sin entered life, that destroyed the relationship. However, GOD provided for the means through Jesus Christ, to restore that shattered union.
