15 Make every effort to give yourself to God as the kind of person he will approve. Be a worker who is not ashamed and who uses the true teaching in the right way. 2 Timothy 2:15 NCV
It’s still early enough in the year to ask you, “How’s your commitment to reading the Bible going?” Let’s face it, we all (and all means all) hit the refresh button at the start of every new year with the intent to really give ourselves to a deeper reading and learning experience of growing in the Lord by reading His Word with greater enthusiasm. The goal is always to draw closer to Him and to know Him by understanding what He has commanded.
As we forge through our daily devotionals and begin our quest of expanding our Biblical knowledge, are we operating from a place of “rightly dividing the word?” In other words, are we reading and understanding with the proper tools (understanding context, Greek or Hebrew use of certain words, cultural word choices, time in history, etc.) to accomplish this? Or, are we on an emotional rabbit trail to read based on life experiences and to satisfy or agree with what we want to see?
I’ve heard it said, “We don’t read the Word, the Word reads us.” Let that sit with you for a bit.
Come and listen to this informative conversation with Dr. Joel Muddamalle. And I highly recommend that you take copious notes (don’t worry, you can hit replay as many times as you like). Joel is highly educated and very enthusiastic about his life’s work as a theologian and I often can’t write fast enough to keep up. But that’s when you simply need to just listen – you can write later during your third replay.
It is my prayer that you will be blessed beyond your expectations and that this will enhance your already existing search and study of the Scriptures.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~

*Thank you to Dr. Joel Muddamalle | Proverbs 31 Ministries for this.

I will find time to watch this. We are reading Immerse, Messiah the entire full testament in 8 weeks! I have so much homework. I’m to give my testimony again only me, to a new group of women in my ladies Bible study. Because I’m Jewish, They love my perspective. My thoughts about the Pharisees and what happened has changed over time. I’m reading the Bible as TRUTH. Sent from my T-Mobile 5G Device
