27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27 ESV
This is a video I believe all Christians should watch and listen to. There’s a ton of valuable Scriptural references packed into it, so please grab something to take notes.
I’m sure that you’ve heard people say that they’re doing something big or have plans to accomplish something major in their lives ~ and that they’re one hundred percent certain they’ve heard it from the Lord to follow through with those plans. But did they really get that confirmation from Him?
Just as you may have been in the presence of such enthusiastic folks, perhaps there have also been personal experiences of your own (could you be in the middle of one now?) where you firmly believed an idea … thought … influence … was from GOD. And maybe things didn’t quite go as planned at first, but you pushed and shoved until you sort of got your way. The bruises and scars may prove your determination fueled you and your firm belief that the Lord had ‘spoken’ to you enabled you to forge ahead and gave you the green light to persevere. But was it truly His voice you heard?
I’m not here to challenge the voice of GOD ~ far from it. However, I am here to encourage all of us to set aside our human emotions, in the name of being genuinely sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. And it is in this teaching video that I have found the Biblical foundation so simply articulated that there’s no denying the importance of being in the Word in order to differentiate between hearing our own thoughts and hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Grab that journal, tablet or whatever you will use to capture vital information. It will be well worth your time.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
