20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 ESV
27 “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27 ESV
Has it been a hard day, Friend? Maybe the entire week could use a refresh. Perhaps the whole month is in need of a do-over. Could it be that the recent year has left you feeling like you can’t seem to see the light at the end of the tunnel? I am so sorry if you find yourself in any of these scenarios ~ I can relate.
The more I reach for the Lord, the closer He becomes. The more persistent I am to pursue Him, the more real and tangible He reveals Himself to me. I may hear His Whispers in reading His Word, or hearing a message from one of His people. You may have similar experiences with Him. In any case, you’ve learned to understand His “love” language with you.
I have come to perceive when the Lord is getting my attention. His ways with me are consistent and He always proves to be trustworthy and true. Throughout the years, yes, years of learning to “listen” to the subtle cues have done me well. I’m learning (although I don’t have it down perfect) how to distinguish between my emotions and His Voice.
When I cry out to Him, I am confident He hears; because He ultimately responds. Not in an audible voice, but in that soft and tender manner that draws me in closer to hear.
In those moments when I just let it all out … when I release those tears of disappointment, discouragement, devastation … and just want a miraculous intervention … I’m not afraid to say what’s on my heart – because I know He will answer.
I’ve learned to ask big things from my BIGGER GOD. He’s done it before, over and over and over. Most of the time, I’ll admit, He shows me and blesses me with things I never would have known to ask for, much less imagine could be. Whatever may be troublesome to me today, doesn’t compare to His mighty Hand. And if I need a reminder, I just turn to His Word.
I love this praise song – it just seems to hit the “spot” and reminds me that He can and will do it again. So, go ahead, Sweet Friend, ask Him for another miracle. He’s got so much more where that came from.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
