(Random) Thoughts on Thursday

Have you ever had those “weird” random thought enter your mind, that if you said them out loud that people would be ready to step back and question your thought process?

Maybe if I shed some layers and let you into my quirky brain for a moment you’ll get a better idea of what I’m talking about.

Here are a few of my own “weird” random thoughts:

*When Jesus was on the cross dying He told the man that believed on Him that he would be in paradise with Him – today. So, when they both were together and celebrating, three days later, Jesus (may have) said, (as He put up His Hand), “Hold that thought, I’ll be right back …” Because He returned to be with us for another forty days.

*Why did the mosquitoes have to come onto Noah’s Ark? And were all the other insects in “hibernation” during that forty-day journey on the high waters?

*Did Balaam’s donkey have a voice similar to James Earl Jones?

*Did king Xerxes (the husband of queen Esther) ever become a believer in the One True GOD?

*What would it have looked like to see all the sea creatures pressed back as the freed Israelites walked through the Red Sea?

*Was Lazarus upset when Jesus called him back?

Please don’t let me be the only one in the room having had these “weird” random thoughts. I’d love to hear yours ~ yes, please share.

Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart
And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him,
And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
Proverbs 3:5-6 Amplified

This Scripture passage helps me to settle down a bit. It reminds me that while all my queries are “intriguing,” it may not be necessary for me to “busy” my mind with trying to understand everything in the universe. I know that ultimately when I get to heaven, my mind will be perfected and I’ll have all those answers. Nonetheless, it doesn’t stop this analytical and inquisitive head from wondering how GOD has answered these things.

To let your mind wonder about the greatness of GOD is to attribute all glory to Him. It’s also a testament to how His creativity is poured into us, His Image Bearers. So, Friend, if you have those random “weird” thoughts like some of us do, you’re not so weird as you think. Consider yourself “creatively curious.” 😉

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
