19 As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart. Proverbs 27:19 NIV
Recently the Lord has been whispering into my spirit about self-examination. Perhaps it was the culmination of many medical visits that the word ‘examination’ just left a firm impression in my mind – which traveled down to my heart.
It’s not easy to be so transparent with yourself, much less, with the Lord. After all, He already sees everything that’s stored in there before we even think to acknowledge the existence.
Nonetheless, the discussion these women engage in today brings you to a place of reflection. And while we may be in severe denial of what may actually be the truth of how we ‘live out loud,’ there comes a point where we must face the music and see what the world sees, and most importantly, what the Lord sees (and may be calling us to change).
Join me for this brief honest roundtable discussion. And then I encourage all of us to journal the thoughts and takeaways shortly thereafter ~ turning the scribbled notes into a prayer to the Lord. Let’s ask Him to reveal to us what He sees needs to be changed.
And then let’s pray that our hearts will be tender to the loving people whom He will place in our space to speak truth to our face.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~

I can hardly wait to listen to this talk. I’ve been doing self examination of my past! That’s not good but I find myself repenting for the same things. I need to do an examination right now. Where is my heart now? What is my motive? I must ask every morning for God to search my heart. It can be confusing to be righteous and a good Christian. To fulfill the purpose I’m here for and be sure of it. I’m starting to read Hebrews. You still have a front seat. I pray that you don’t move further back. I appreciate your help. These blogs feed me!
