“Asking God for Bigger” ~ Joyce Meyer’s Talk It Out Podcast

18 And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people), 19 and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength Ephesians 1:18-19 Amplified

You are jealous and covet [what others have] and your lust goes unfulfilled; so you murder. You are envious and cannot obtain [the object of your envy]; so you fight and battle. You do not have because you do not ask [it of God]. 3 You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires. James 4:2-3 Amplified

20 Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, Ephesians 3:20 Amplified

GOD doesn’t give us a blueprint for our lifetime, but He does give us manna for one day at a time.” ~ Joyce Meyer

How ‘big’ is your GOD? Does that sound like a strange thing to ask? But I do think that it’s an introspective question that deserves an answer.

There’s a couple minutes within this segment where one of the women touches on something that I had (erroneously) believed about GOD ~ until a woman of faith set my wagon straight. I had previously thought that I was so ‘insignificant’ in the Kingdom of GOD that I didn’t ask Him for certain things because He had more important matters that took precedence over my puny needs. In fact, I would pray with that same timidity. I had thought that GOD had only so much to give His children, that by the time He had finished dealing with everyone else (ahead of me in line) that my portion would be reduced to a sliver. Can you relate? That’s where the enemy of our souls wants to keep us at bay and distanced from our Savior ~ feeling insignificant and unworthy of His Love ~ which He says He freely gives us.

The Scripture verses that I have provided here reference the most important aspect of this discussion today: asking in the Will of GOD. Now, just settle in and sit with that for a bit. We’re talking about a Sovereign GOD who is Holy and above all. We cannot possibly demand anything of Him. The Bible speaks of humility being the way that Jesus lived ~ which is exactly how the Father desires us to live.

Come and listen to this impactful discussion. It is one that I truly believe that we all need to pay close attention to and pray about. Because Sweet Friend, it’s a game changer to submit and surrender to the Lover of our souls.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
