49 “‘This was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were proud and had plenty of food and lived in great comfort, but she did not help the poor and needy. Ezekiel 16:49 NCV
2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Ephesians 4:2 NLT
“Excuse me, do you have a minute?”
If you’re do-er and a planner like me, that short irritating question can really disrupt your day. And yet, so many of us have been on both sides of the statement ~ we just conveniently forget that fact.
The interruption can last anywhere from ninety-seconds to several minutes to possibly half your day, depending upon how complicated that original ‘minute’ proves itself to be.
I find this insightful and humbling conversation to be just what I needed to hear ~ and I think that once you listen to the dialogue here, you will discover that you may have been brought to a pause in your day to hear it for very good reason as well.
If you don’t have time listen to it in one complete sitting, return to it when you can ~ and then hit the replay and just soak it all in the second time, allowing the Holy Spirit to minister to your spirit about the areas in your own life where He is revealing some things that need to be addressed. I can honestly tell you I laughed and cried. Brought to my knees and my senses about areas that GOD wants to fix in me. And now that I see them plainly, I can surrender it to Him and let the work in me begin. That requires me to be an active participant. And that’s exactly where I will be trusting GOD for the strength to do the work (that’s the surrender part) that He’s called me to do.
The takeaways … don’t ignore those a-ha moments as you intentionally listen. Take them to heart and then take them with you so that they’ll do the good in you that GOD has purposed. You’ll soon see how the miracles in your life come in the packages so often referred to as interruptions in your day and look like the people in your lives.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
