There is no other name by which we can be saved. The question is: Do you know the Person who bears that Name? Do you know Him personally?
12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 ESV
This is proof that there truly is power in the Name of Jesus. Because if He is the only Person that can save us (me and you) from destruction – from the weight of our sins – then we had better heed the call to surrender ourselves and cling to Him with all we’ve got.
He doesn’t call us into religion. Jesus calls us into a relationship. So, if you think I’m trying to convince you to follow a list or criteria of rules, you are sorely mistaken, my Friend. Jesus extends His Arms to embrace you (me), not to scold us. He reaches out to us to comfort, console and restore what the world has stolen from us. And He does this by repairing the broken relationship.

As He said to His Disciples (who were just as ordinary as you and me), “Come, follow me.”
