18 And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18 Amplified
6 Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks. 7 And God’s peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 NCV
Stress … can we ever come short of a daily supply? Unlike our vitamin supplements, we are unlikely to suffer from an insufficient amount of stress and anxiety in our life. In fact, when we are in a truly cray-cray moment, we will look around and offer some of our abundance to those who look like they are far too calm.
Lately, I’ve been catching myself ~ before I go rogue. I somehow, by the grace of GOD, have spared all of you in my immediate space, from what would have been an embarrassing moment in my history. I’ve learned how to avoid and prevent those moments of losing my sanity out loud. And if you know me, it’s possible you have been eye witness to one of those memorable flashes. And I’m genuinely sorry that you can’t unsee that.
Yes, I admit to having allowed stress and the pressures of life grab hold of my sensibility and run away with it. I can only say this because it doesn’t happen like that anymore. In fact, the occurrences are far less frequent. My secret? No secret, Friend. And it’s totally free.
Prayer. It changed me.
I took inventory of my out-loud-for-all-the-world-to-see crazy lady moments in life and recognized that I seemed to come unglued most severely when I took my focus off of Jesus, and forgot who I am in Christ. Period.
The more I focused on Him, the less I lost my mind, and the more peaceful and calm I became in the face of challenges. Because what you stare at, you steer towards (thank you, Lysa TerKeurst for that).
Come and listen to Joyce Meyer give it straight to you from the Bible. Every word of what she says is GOD’s will for how He designed us to live. Grab your Bible, something to take notes and record your a-ha moments, and put your feet up for a break and some laughter. You’ll be glad you did.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
