To be honest with you, it amazes me that GOD would choose me for something ~ much less something special. I’ve always thought of myself as kind of a nerdy~plain Jane sort of gal. You know, nothing to shout about ~ no striking features or phenomenal talents. Kind of just a bit to the rear of the average.
And yet, every day of my life I seem to encounter Jesus steering me and pointing me in these directions … and please don’t understand, these are not places I would choose to go. In fact, these are places I would much rather run far away from.
Because these places and assignments scare me to the core. And the deeper I get in them, the wilder they become. Places where my faith in Jesus is the only thing keeping me going. And I must say, I’ve shed many tears, cried out loud for relief and a way of escape. However, He whispers, “I’m here with you. You will grow as you go.”
Jesus’ Plan for my life is planned ~ moment by moment, every breath, every heartbeat. He knew I would go through stuff, and He purposed each challenge for me to grow from and become more of the woman I was meant to be. But none of it looked like a designer’s moment while I was in the thick of it.
