When was the last time you examined ~ really took inventory ~ of the things you put your heart and soul into? You know, those ‘projects’ that cause sleepless nights, steal time from your family and loved ones, rob you of joy on your sabbath, cause you to rearrange your personal schedule so you can meet a deadline … all to impress … who?
Seriously, at the end of the day and you close the front door, who is it that you’ve been seeking so hard to prove your worth? Are the accolades more valuable than those things you’ve sacrificed in the name of your prized ‘project?’
Perhaps it’s time to take a deep dive into that treasure chest to see what lies hidden from plain sight. Maybe it’s time to stop camouflaging with the designer labels, the eloquent speech, the pedigrees and diplomas, the associations and status circles, the ‘perfectly put together image’ (which is secretly falling apart).
It’s worth the investigation to respond to, “What on earth are you doing?”
