“Silence Your Mind” ~ Craig Groeschel

10 “Be still, and know that I am God! Psalm 46:10a NLT

There is no such thing as intimacy without intentionality. ~ Pastor Craig Groeschel

6 “Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace. Matthew 6:6 Message

Busy … busy … busy. I think that’s probably the middle name and second nature of most women. We want to make sure all bases are covered, all volunteer opportunities are filled, all the home delivery meals to the sick are cooked, all the emails are answered (perish the thought there should be anything in our email) … whew!

And we women have the gift of multi-tasking until it blows our blood pressure through the roof and we collapse in a heap of sheer fatigue.

Lean in for a moment, will you? Are we really spinning our wheels to get all this stuff done because all of it is so important that we push aside our true priorities? Let’s be real for a second here. Because we get our hair all knotted up when people challenge us on our to-do list. Beneath that cool exterior we are thinking, “Oh no she didn’t go there … I know what I need to get done.”

As Christ Followers, the call to obedience is what precedes the need to accomplish any goal. And quite honestly, we cannot be obedient to our calling if we’re not aligned with the One Who called us and created us for that calling. If we’re always chasing the to-do list without first meeting up and spending time (not drive-thru time) with the God Who holds time in His Hand, we’re going to come up empty every time. We need His filling.

I needed to hear this message today ~ for so many reasons. And I believe you’ll be blessed as well if you’ll just take a break to let Pastor Craig speak truth into your space.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
