Lift Your Spirit ~ “Owe You Praise”

Sing to him, sing praises to him;
    tell of all his wondrous works! 1 Chronicles 16:9 ESV

I will bless the Lord at all times;
    his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1 ESV

Praise has the power to change the trajectory of your day. Multiply that out on a daily practice and you’ve to the potential to allow GOD to redirect the course of your life. The only requirement is that you’ve got to act on it. Do it, Girlfriend!

Let me share a pet peeve of mine, if I may. Whenever I detect a Negative Nancy or a Debbie Downer in the room (please don’t throw tomatoes at me if your name happens to be Nancy or Debbie), that spirit of negativity causes me to walk away. I don’t want to be around it. Life and its challenges are an obstacle course in itself without someone breathing out dragon fire-filled comments. Stuff like that can kill you ~ literally. It’s very hard to “un-hear” certain words, so I find it best to just exit.

When I get to a place that is far enough out of earshot, I’m praising GOD ~ especially for giving me the wisdom to recognize the enemy, and for the power to choose to move my body to safety. No better way than to either recite a Scripture or start humming a tune of praise and worship.

That’s where this song takes me. As king David authored so many psalms of praise to GOD for protection and being his place of refuge, I, too, am eternally grateful that GOD is always present my time of need.

Come and take a praise break with me for a moment. Let this praise song minister to your heart and soul, let it begin to renew your mind from whatever is presently swirling around in there, It’ll do you well.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
