You’ve heard me say it many times over: Praise is my weapon.
Have you had a really difficult and challenging week? I know it’s hard to convince your head to start praising GOD in the midst of the chaos that surrounds you because your heart is just not in it. But that’s when you and I are needing to go there and in faith speak it out loud so our own ears can hear it. When we hear it enough, our head will take notice and we will take those thoughts down that are robbing us of our peace.
It is then and only then that our hearts will start to come around to agreeing with our thoughts. That’s the importance of walking out our faith even when we don’t feel it and certainly don’t see it. Allow the Holy Spirit to transform your mind by singing the word, Sister.
Maybe you’ve had a magnificent week and you’re feeling like a conqueror. All the more reason to armor up, Sister. Because it’s in the good times that the enemy of your soul will snag you ~ don’t let your guard down. Those destructive thoughts lurk around the corner when you’re busy feeling good about yourself. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
Praise will pierce that realm of temptation and illuminate your spirit to keep walking steady on the path He wants you on. His Word is a light unto our path and will never return void.
Your praise doesn’t just rejoice over the kindness of GOD ~ it declares His Sovereignty. We praise Him for Who He is ~ not just what He has done for or given us.
I love this contagious worship song! It’s one that will stick with me for moments that I need to remember Jesus is due praise no matter what our circumstances look like to our human eyes.
