14 But I trust in you, O Lord;
I say, “You are my God.” Psalm 31:14 ESV
8 Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your heart before him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah Psalm 62:8 ESV
When you’re going through a storm, it seems as though it takes every fiber of your body to keep trusting and believing that GOD will cause all things to work out for your good. As the circumstances linger just a little bit longer, know that you will come out stronger at the other side.
It’s in those most pressing times, Friend, that we must lean on the Lord even more than ever. The temptation to quit and just give up will increase. It may even look like giving in will lighten the load and soothe the ache and pain ~ but that momentary false hope will not grant your soul the satisfaction you’re seeking.
I’m speaking from a place of experience, so I can relate to the pressures of life. While my seasons and life lessons will differ from yours, we both know that at the end of the day, Jesus has never left our side.
When you hurt, He hurts. When you ache, He aches. When you cry, He cries.
I want to wrap my arms around your tired shoulders and speak Jesus into your space. The mental emotional somersaults and mind bending backflips are nothing to be compared to what He has already prepared for you in this journey. Hold on tight to those nail-scarred Hands, and let Him be your Rock of Refuge.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend (and I’m praying for you) ~
