“Pardon the Interruption” Part 2 ~ Joyce Meyer

40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:40 ESV

Living as becomes you] with complete lowliness of mind (humility) and meekness (unselfishness, gentleness, mildness), with patience, bearing with one another and making allowances because you love one another. Ephesians 4:2 Amplified

I am one of those two-months-in-advance, Franklin-Covey using (OG’s from the last millennium), plan-it-write-it-remind-you-of-it kinda gal. I like to know what’s going to happen, who’s involved, what needs to be prepared, purchased, and anticipated. Unexpected surprises are not on the agenda, much less, really invited.

That is, until the Holy Spirit got hold of me and shook my world like a smoothie in a blender.

Learning to live like Jesus takes on a whole new meaning when it comes to letting go of control. Being a controller means it’s all about you ~ and what you want. Surrender is living like Jesus and He allowed for anyone to interrupt His day.

As a Believer, this life is not about us ~ it’s about Jesus, and making Him known. And let’s face it, most people will hear the unspoken testimony of your life through the life you live. Whether you realize it or not, you’re “on” and those that don’t know the Savior are watching your every move.

Want to make a difference in this world? Let the interruptions give you something to work on. Looking for a way to convince people to join you at church, give them a reason to want more of what they see in you: Jesus.

Come and listen to this second part of the discussion (I shared part 1 with you last week) and be blessed and encouraged.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~

  1. Surrender is living like Jesus and He allowed for anyone to interrupt His day. I love this line! Isn’t this the truth? We don’t like interruptions, the unexpected or giving up control. Often times I don’t even realize I’m trying to control something. Love the truth you spoke here. Thank you for letting the holy spirit work through you.
