“My Mirror Testimony” ~ Sadie Robertson Huff

10 God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us to do good works, which God planned in advance for us to live our lives doing. Ephesians 2:10 NCV

13 You made my whole being;
you formed me in my mother’s body.
14 I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way.
What you have done is wonderful.
I know this very well. Psalm 139:13-14 NCV

Are you willing to take it off ~ the concealer, the mask, the stuff that changes the outward appearance ~ are you willing to risk being so vulnerable that you’ll do what most of us would never do in public, for the sake of the Gospel?

I have to say, I would not be the first one (nor the fifty-first one) to step forward to volunteer. In fact, you’d probably have to break out the earth-mover to push me into taking my turn.

Always feeling self-conscious about my body, I am a natural-born people-pleaser. Not that I’m proud to admit this, but I say it out loud for those of us who are too ashamed of the way we view ourselves. Bottom line, we are trapped by the comparisons of the world (I’m not adequate enough to get something done: not smart – pretty – tall – talented – enough). Somehow, we weigh our self-worth against the already tipped scales of false pretenses. It’s no wonder there’s imbalance in our lives.

We simply cannot weigh~in on other peoples definition of who we are. We are not defined by our accomplishments (or lack thereof), our social or economic status, our IQ, or professional accolades. We are identified by who we are in Christ.

Come and take a break, listen to what this precious daughter of the King has to say about who you are in Him. Let Sadie Robertson Huff speak some truth into your space, as she bares all in the mirror. This just might change the trajectory of your day.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
