9 And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, Revelation 5:9 NKJV
You likely have heard this song sung by many other artists. And as I have always been touched by the words, you probably also have been moved by the sheer fact that we are privileged to be able to sing it with understanding and joy.
But what is most impressive about this particular rendition is the inclusiveness of all nations and all tongues. This, to me, is demonstrative of what Heaven will be like when we are together raising praise around the Throne of the Lamb. As Scripture says, He purchased us all.
I believe that as unique as the Lord Himself designed us, He will allow for us to keep our linguistic ability into eternity. The only difference perhaps, will be that it will no longer be divisive, but unifying ~ and that we will have the capability of naturally understanding one another regardless of the language. All things will be made new. Including our level of acceptance.
Join me for this special praise break. Allow for it to open up your world to the possibilities of reaching others that may not look like you, talk like you, eat like you, sound like you, do church like you, or even think like you. The Gospel does that.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
