“How to Overcome Hardship with GOD” ~ Joyce Meyer, Lisa Harper

11 I say this because I know what I am planning for you,” says the Lord. “I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future. Jeremiah 29:11 NCV

Are you going through a hurricane, Friend? If that is your current situation, I am so very sorry. And I am praying for you.

There’s a lot going on all around us. Most of the folks in our space are battling something that no one sees. But GOD … He sees it all and wants you to look to Him for your comfort, peace, and counsel.

If you will allow your circumstances to teach you to press into GOD your Father, you will experience exponential growth and come out the other end of this storm stronger, wiser, and confident in Who your loving heavenly Father is.

I write not from merely a place of having listened and appreciating this circle of godly women sharing their own personal experiences with GOD. I am speaking from a place of living my own experiences of Jesus in the storm with me. And just like you, in the midst of that storm, it feels dark and harsh with uncertainty.

Jesus Calms the Storm

35 As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” 36 So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed). 37 But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water.

38 Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”

39 When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. 40 Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” Mark 4:35-41 NLT

People have been going through thunderstorms since the beginning of time. As a Believer, we need to remember that Jesus is in the boat with us. He anchors our situation. He alone can calm that storm. He never leaves us to fend for ourselves. And He refuses to leave His Daughter’s side.

Come and sit with me for a bit and receive hope from this conversation. There are nuggets of hope in here for your situation. Feast on the goodness of GOD in this moment.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
