Lift Your Spirit ~ “Set My Eyes”

I lift up my eyes to the hills.
    From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2 ESV

Don’t get sidetracked;
    keep your feet from following evil. Proverbs 4:27 NLT

Here is a praise and worship song to set you on your day with a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving to the Lord.

Just like the sister sitting next to you, I love a good get up and dance with joy song every chance I get. And yet, you know when there’s that sacred moment calling your spirit to just settle down for a sweet tender second for holy praise.

If you’re like me, it’s like some days I step out the front door and feel that I’m having to duck ‘n’ dodge the chaos around me. I’m no superhero, but I often envision myself holding up my shield to deflect those arrows that seem to have me on their radar.

As a child of the King, we know that life this side of Paradise is not free from challenges, difficulties and messy situations. But as that same child of the King, we also know that there comes the moment when we must live out our faith and rise up to take that first (shaky) step.

We have been given Holy Spirit power to get up in the morning and meet the day head on. The gifts we’ve been given are put to good use with prayerful hands that are willing to work. GOD will not magically drop results in our lap. His Word tells us to do the work He has prepared for us. Do is a verb.

Doing the work that GOD has ordained for us to do is a privilege and honor. We’ve got to aim for excellence with all humility and love. The best way to keep focused is by keeping our eyes on Him.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
