Ever had to tell yourself, “It’s not gonna last long, it’s just for a moment?”
Maybe that specific moment in time was a root canal, or a cortisone shot, or massaging out the knots in your neck and shoulders …
Looking back in the rearview mirror, those were the minor leagues. But what about the majors?
It’s hard to choke back the raw emotions that come flooding when you hear the medical diagnosis you dreaded, or the news about the sudden death of a loved one, or the unexpected loss of a job and career … and to say those five words with sincerity, “it’s only for a moment.”
Let’s be truthful here. When all things come crashing down on ground zero, is anyone really happy? All hope seems to have escaped out the window at the point of impact.
But GOD wants us to remember that He is Hope in the middle of our mess, and to keep focus on the fact that whatever is causing the chaos, it truly is only for a moment (GOD’s measurement), and that if we will just hang on a little bit longer, we will reap the reward of having been faithful.
I needed this song today, and I’ll bet you did, too.
Whatever is in your space, look up and trust GOD for moving that mountain ~ because it will be moved.
