The Father has loved us so much that we are called children of God. And we really are his children. The reason the people in the world do not know us is that they have not known him. 1 John 3:1 NCV
You need this song today. I need this song today.
The unbelieving world tells us to speak affirmations of positive thoughts over ourselves so that we will have a good day. And while the intent is nice, it’s not satisfying.
It is my hope that you are reaching far higher for something mightier than your own human thoughts. I don’t believe that we were created by the Master Creator Himself to limit ourselves by settling for less than His Best.
I am a firm believer that proclaiming who I am ~ claiming who we are ~ declaring who you are ~ straight from the Word of Truth, does more than merely give you good vibes. It reminds us of the power of Jesus within us to rise above the mundane and mediocrity of this world. Because that’s what we are designed to do.
When words spoken at us make us feel bad about ourselves, we have to brush that off (go ahead and clear the dust from your space, Sister) and turn our eyes and ears to the One who made them. We’ve got to preach to ourselves in that moment and stand firm in who He says we are: His Child. His beloved Daughter.
You and I both need this song today. And we need to hit replay throughout the day. Jesus didn’t come to earth for nothing. He came for you. He came for me. He declares us worth dying for, and that says more about our value than any simple positive-thinking affirmation could ever do.
Rise up, Sister! Shout it out with me: “I’m a Child of GOD!”
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
