In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!” Isaiah 6:1-3 NKJV
I don’t know what kind of week you’ve had … it may have been one for talking about for weeks to come … or it may have been one of those weeks (you know what I mean), where you’d rather forget it ever happened.
You’ve heard me say it before, and it needs to be repeated: “Raise praise when you can’t raise your head.”
There’s a sweet something that GOD gives you when you take your eyes off your circumstances and dare to look towards Him with gratitude. (Small secret: your circumstances are subject to change, so don’t get too attached to them.) And hear me out, Sister, your circumstances don’t define you, your performance (good or bad) don’t define you, the words spoken at or over you don’t define you. GOD, your Creator and Heavenly Father, HE defines you.
So, let me challenge you to say those words out loud: “I am not what I do, I am who I am because of what Jesus has done.”
Repeat it throughout your day and I tell you that your heart and soul will be doing a two-step (and maybe and skip and leap) as you preach truth to yourself. You. Are. A. Child. Of. GOD. And if He is King, that makes you a royal Daughter.
This song will get you up and have you dancing around the Throne of Grace just thinking about your true identity. And you should be celebrating that daily.
So, rise to your feet, Sweet Friend, it’s time for a praise break!
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
