If you’ve never had the chance to experience a teaching from Lisa Harper, you’re in for a treat.
This little taste is an invitation to learn from one of the most warm-hearted and compassionate Biblically educated women (on the planet, in my opinion). Lisa Harper will have you laughing, smiling, crying, reminiscing, thinking deeply, and relating to her stories as she dives into GOD’s Word. Her delivery is uniquely hers. And she will captivate your heart with her down-to-earth style. You will genuinely feel as though she is having coffee with just you. She’s just that way.
This Bible Study is deep. But in usual Lisa manner, you are drawn in by her tender Tennessee humor and contagious love for Jesus. Either you will commit to doing the work ~ which you will if you’re serious about learning more about the GOD that adores you, or you will throw your hands up and remain spiritually immature and miss out on tons of blessings that await your pursuit of GOD.
I’m in the process of going through ‘A Jesus Shaped Life’ Bible Study as you read this. It’s a daily (yes, that’s one sure way to get you in the Word on a regular basis) effort to keep up with the work, but it’s not work that requires a seminary education. Lisa breaks things down and makes it practical and applicable to your life. I’m doing this online with a couple hundred other folks from all over the nation who signed up. We stay connected and encourage each other, just as you would do if you were able to hug and touch each other in person.
The weekly video teaching lessons provide you with the basis for diving into the group discussions or doing the solo study. The study guide provides a place to capture your thoughts of each day’s teachings. Remember, a process means that you will come out better than you went in. So stick with it!
I’m sharing this with you because if you’re serious about your relationship with the Lover of your soul, you’ll want to know more about Him. Lisa opens up the Scriptures and reveals the gems we would otherwise gloss over or perhaps not even see. She carefully introduces new material and weaves it throughout, so that you can digest it and make sense of it. That’s how it becomes applicable ~ it starts with understanding.
No spoiler alert needed here. I am hoping that you’ll consider doing the Study and maybe grab a friend or two or three or ten to make it a rich experience that you can all immerse yourselves into. GOD has so much He wants to bless you with! With each day’s lesson, you will come away with a-ha’s and ‘I-never-knew-that’ even when doing it solo. But with all small group activities, it’s more fun to hear what everyone else is thinking.
Get the Study. You will be thankful you did. And you’ll fall (deeply) in love with Jesus (again) and learn to live the life that reflects Him.
