“GOD Can Restore What Seems Lost” ~ Craig Groeschel

The company of the prophets said to Elisha, “Look, the place where we meet with you is too small for us. Let us go to the Jordan, where each of us can get a pole; and let us build a place there for us to meet.”

And he said, “Go.”

Then one of them said, “Won’t you please come with your servants?”

“I will,” Elisha replied. And he went with them.

They went to the Jordan and began to cut down trees. As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axhead fell into the water. “Oh no, my lord!” he cried out. “It was borrowed!”

The man of God asked, “Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and made the iron float. “Lift it out,” he said. Then the man reached out his hand and took it. 2 Kings 6:1-7 NIV

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 1 Peter 5:10 NIV

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10 NIV

I recently noticed that I would be on a mission to find something, walk into a room to look for it, and suddenly forget what I was looking for. UGH! Can anyone relate?

Admitting to myself that entertaining too many thoughts in a single moment is a sure way of losing track of my primary thought. And feeling as though I’m losing my mind!

In this sermon, Pastor Craig Groeschel addresses some very important points when it comes to loss in our lifetime. One big takeaway for me is that if it matters to you (me), it matters to GOD. Sometimes we just belittle ourselves so much that we think we are insignificant to GOD. When we do that, we have the tendency to devalue our relationship with Him and neglect nurturing and cultivating intimacy with the Lord. And then we just don’t pray about the losses in our lives because we mistakenly think GOD has ‘better’ things to do with His time.

Come take a brief break with me and let’s listen together to this vital reminder that our GOD is a redemptive GOD and His purpose for sending Jesus into the world was to pull us up out of messy places in life (wherever we may have wandered off to) and breathe new life into us. Jesus came to let us know we really do have purpose for being here and to show us how to fulfill that purpose.

My prayer is that you will walk away with your own a-ha moments from this sermon and live out the rest of your day with a renewed sense of who GOD is and how much He deeply loves you and is waiting to hear from you.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
