How has your week been, Friend? Was it one for the book of memoirs or was it one that you’d rather forget even happened? Let me offer you some hope: It is now behind us and we need only to look to what is ahead.
Easier said than done, right? I get you. Me, too.
And yet the truth is that when our hope is in Jesus and not our own efforts to make things this way or that way, we do have a brighter future. He will see to that in the perfect timing. Just keep holding on to that promise.
I love this tender worship song because it calms the soul that has lived through trauma and drama this week. The lyrics speak of that peace that only Jesus can give you. No other source can deliver a lasting peace and assurance.
Maybe you’re thirsty for a solution to the ‘why’s’ of your situation. Perhaps you’re flat out tired and exhausted from performing to the criteria of others. Or is it that comparisons to the public accomplishments of others is beating down on your self-criticisms. Whatever the unseen battle may be, Sister, Jesus is already there with you. He sees you, knows you, and loves you beyond your wildest imagination.
Take hope in the shadow of His Wing and be comforted knowing you are adored by the One Who will carry you and protect you all the days of your life. Just rest in Him.
