Am I saying this now to win the approval of people or God? Am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ’s servant. Galatians 1:10 GWT
You cannot produce what you don’t have roots for. ~ Chrystal Evans Hurst
With all the talk about comparisons and poor self-image, I can truly appreciate Chrystal Evans Hurst giving space to this topic of authenticity.
Sister, we need to really let our roots dig down deep into the fertile soil of our faith and receive our affirmation from our identity in Christ, the true Vine.
As much as we proclaim our value and worth, if it’s not rooted in who GOD says we are, we risk being swept away by the attraction of the world. The accolades, the “likes” and “follows” on social media, all the things.
Let’s be honest here: the world will not like us because we are not of the world. If our lifestyle looks anything like Jesus, we’re bound to be criticized, ostracized, judged, and flat out uninvited. That leaves many standing at the crossroads of deciding whom to live for.
Grab your favorite java or tea, and take a brief moment to hear what Chrystal has to say about all of this. It may be a turning point for some. It may be a recommitment for others. My prayer is that you are resolute about where you stand on the matter, and that your faith in GOD is deepened all the more
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
