“Find Purpose In Your Insecurities” with Pastor Amy Groeschel

for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 ESV

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT

No one wants to be held back by another person’s judgement or criticisms. But what if you’re held back by your own self-critique and insecurities?

In this brief conversation between Pastors Craig and Amy Groeschel, Amy brings to light the fact that many of us do that very thing. We eliminate ourselves from opportunities of growth and action because in our estimation, our current skill set or talents don’t measure up to the criteria or background required to accomplish a certain task. Commonly known as insecurities.

As in the case of Moses (and a few others like Esther, David, Gideon, Jonah), GOD specifically told Moses that he was being given the assignment to speak to Pharaoh to free the Israelites that were being held captive in Egypt. And like some of us who don’t feel ‘qualified’ to step up to the task, we look for all the ‘reasons’ to not be a good fit for the position.

I can attest to this on many, many accounts. Can you, Friend?

There have been times when GOD placed me in situations and while He’s positioning me for the task at Hand, I am shaking my head in disbelief. I have even told GOD ‘why’ I’m not suitable for the role.

However, GOD in His mercy and kindness, is also patient. And He’s known to wait me out.

It isn’t until I finally grab hold of His word (or maybe I should say that His word takes hold of me) that I am able to release my grip on not being the one, to believing the all powerful One has great things in store for me if I just trust and obey.

Join me for a brief break in your day and hear what Pastor Amy has to say on the matter. You just may come around to agreeing with GOD on a subject you’ve been wrestling with recently.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
