12 1-2 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:2 The Message

It’s no secret … we are about to turn the corner into the new year. For some of us, it’s a welcomed opportunity to start afresh with a new slate. For some of us, dread is all around and there’s fear and anxiety looming in the air. For some of us, we have one foot in the past and one foot in the future, uncertain of what to do altogether.

If you have a relationship with Jesus, you know exactly where you stand. Your confidence is in Him, and not in your own human effort. As humans, we know all too well that the one perfect thing we can do is mess things up because, well, we’re human. Flesh in a fallen world is bound to hit more than her share of sour notes.

Take heart, Daughter of the King ~ you are seen, known, and loved based on who you are in Christ, and not what you do out of your own strength.

And this is exactly what we need to preach to ourselves as we consider our mindset as we turn that corner into 2026.

Pencils are still manufactured with erasers. Remember that.

Your destiny is not determined by your past. Your future is designed by Who holds you.

Come and listen to this circle of friends as they share (not compare) their own personal struggles and victories. Victories won by their Defender (yours and mine) that empowers us to keep moving forward no matter what may have been spoken to or over us in the past.

It is my prayer that you will look to the Lord as you near that stroke of midnight, and allow Him to rewrite the narratives of your life. He is the only One that writes in indelible ink.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
