“It Would Have Been Enough” ~ The Chosen Scene

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
    that the blind will see,
that the oppressed will be set free, Luke 4:18 NLT

36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 3:36 ESV

17 Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17 Amplified

Dayenu (דַּיֵּנוּ) is a Hebrew word meaning it would have been enough or “it would have sufficed,” expressing deep gratitude during the Passover Seder for God’s many miracles in freeing the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, culminating in the giving of the Torah and Shabbat.

As we take a pause in this last day of the year, it would be a good time to reflect on the the goodness of GOD throughout this year. Even in light of things that went sideways, or perhaps things that appear to be hanging on a limb, situations still yet to be resolved, unanswered prayer … GOD is still faithful, always good, and working behind the scenes.

Had GOD not provided the countless blessings this past year … but allowed for us to have breath in our lungs and blood flowing through our veins to see another day and embrace our loved ones …to have experienced the joy of growing closer to Him and feeling His presence and love surrounding us daily … if we would have gone without the unexpected unimaginable joys but known only of His salvation and redemption … it would have been enough.

Name your own personal miracles ~ write them down so you can see your own hand capture the sentiment and emotion behind each letter and word. And simply raise praise.

As we take that first step into the new year, let us be mindful of the gift of Immanuel ~ GOD with us ~ and declare: He is enough.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~

Happy New Year!
