37 However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them. John 6:37 NLT
Rejection is not a topic we want to think or talk about, but nonetheless, it is an experience we’ve all had.
In this candid and transparent conversation among friends, Joyce brings up the truth that GOD designed us for acceptance. And that is the sword of truth that empowers us to fight for who we are in Christ.
We can lay blame on the circumstances, situations, and people that were involved in our experiences, but until we grab hold of the fact that our identity in Christ is our anchor of truth and security, we will continue to remain stuck in our wrong way of thinking.
The shared experiences in this conversation are uniquely different from one another. And yet, the common thread is that there is victory in Jesus and what GOD has to say will overrule any other means of reasoning (no matter how well-meaning and positive sounding it may be). It all begins with your relationship with Him. That is step one.
If you believe GOD to be Who He says He is, then take Him at His Word. Pick up that Sword (His Word) and fight the battle as He has empowered you in His strength. Prove the enemy wrong by casting down those lies that have held you trapped.
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV
Like all tools, unless we know how to handle them and the power that is contained within them to get the work done, the tool is of no use. The next step is to examine our relationship to the Scriptures. Are we making them part of who we are, or are we simply reading them to check the daily (Christian) box?
It’s time to deal with who is staring at us in the mirror. She is seen, known, loved, and accepted by the Savior that gave His life for her.
If you’re ready to get unstuck … if you’re wanting to experience the real joy that is yours to have … come and allow Holy Spirit to whisper into your soul and take the first step into your freedom from rejection.
