Lift Your Spirit ~ “Praise”

Psalm 146

Praise the Lord!

Let all that I am praise the Lord.
I will praise the Lord as long as I live.
I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath.

Don’t put your confidence in powerful people;
there is no help for you there.
When they breathe their last, they return to the earth,
and all their plans die with them.

But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper,
whose hope is in the Lord their God.
He made heaven and earth,
the sea, and everything in them.
    He keeps every promise forever.
He gives justice to the oppressed
    and food to the hungry.
The Lord frees the prisoners.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down.
    The Lord loves the godly.
The Lord protects the foreigners among us.
He cares for the orphans and widows,
but he frustrates the plans of the wicked.

10 The Lord will reign forever.
He will be your God, O Jerusalem throughout the generations.

Praise the Lord!

Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves of Who GOD is and leave the blueprints and the process to His Care.

Now, you know I’m preaching to myself in this tiny message, don’t you? *smile*

Let’s be honest here, Friend. Whatever we’re going through (and yes, we are all going through something, whether we let it show on the outside or we’re hiding it on the inside), GOD is not expecting us to live through it on our own. And He’s not being mean or trying to break us into a million pieces.

He’s right where we are. Waiting for us to trust Him with it, because it’s all for a purpose. A good purpose. No matter how ugly and chaotic it may seem in this very moment ~ GOD does have a divine purpose ~ He always does.

And if you know Him, if you have an ongoing relationship with Him, you know that He’s not done with you yet. That situation you’re dealing with … it’s allowing you to grow into the person you were meant to be.

It may not feel all that great. In fact, it might even feel like you want to get out of it ~ like now. I get you. More importantly, Jesus gets you.

But on the other side of all that stuff is your better self. You’re becoming that much more like Jesus ~ if you’ll trust Him with and through the journey. He won’t leave you the way you started.

Praise in the process is not easy ~ I totally agree. But it will get you through it and will help you to remember Who is really in full control. It will take your mind off of what you can’t change, and lift your eyes towards the One Who can change it all.

You won’t be disappointed. C’mon Sister … get up and praise Him with confidence that He’s got your back, front, sides, top, bottom, inside, and outside. Jesus has you covered.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~
