One of the most significant things about getting to know Jesus ~ and I mean, really know Him, not just know about Him ~ is that He invites you in.
When you stop to think about it, that’s pretty amazing. The GOD of all creation reaches down to extend a personal invitation to get up close and personal with you, simply because He loves you. And that’s saying a lot about what He thinks of you (and me).
On a human level, our relationships are valuable because we value one another. We invest ourselves into relationship bonds with others when we treasure their company and respect their presence.
To consider that GOD would want to offer Himself in personal relationship with us individually is beyond comprehension. And yet, He did that through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. That was His personal investment in us even before we even said ‘yes’ to Him.
Don’t let the celebration of Resurrection Sunday fizzle out to a low hum or memory that fades into the sunset. Keep that yearning burning, Sister. There’s so much more to learn and grasp about the Savior that changed your personal history when you first encountered Him as the risen Lord.
