“Lessons in Life.”

Proverbs 1:9 What you learn from them will crown you with grace and be a chain of honor around your neck.

I made this lil’ “tiara” for my precious GrandBaby, Zoë ~~ after all, six weeks is a milestone for all of us (never tho’t that I’d ever celebrate being so fatigued).  Looking at her serenely napping I am humbly reminded …

What we learn from those whom God places in our path, we must not discard.  It adds character to whom we are becoming: the real person that He intended us to be.

Psalm 149:4 For the Lord delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.

Humility doesn’t come easy for those of us who feel we’ve got it wrapped up before others have a chance to even select the “wrapping paper.”  Get my drift?  Years, maybe decades, may have to pass before we are chiseled down soft enough to even consider that others have “something” of value to contribute to our lives.

Oh, but when we are tender enough to receive ~~ yes, God does speak through others ~~ amazing things can happen!  Suddenly our lens gain some clarity ~~ new concepts seem inviting …

A whole new world opens up …

And God can BLESS us ~~ you see, Girlfriend, He always desires to, but we refuse to let Him ~~ pride, selfishness, disobedience (just a few cement barriers) ~~ like a raincoat in a storm, we encase ourselves against being blessed.

I’ve recently learned this (particular lesson) in a different form ~~ and it is humbling ~~ sometimes downright embarrassing ~~ but God is BIGGER than any embarrassment (I’m learning that one, too).

Wisdom should come with age ~~ I don’t want to disappoint that expectation ~~ I want to live out that legacy til my last breath.  But wisdom doesn’t pour into our lives from a magical spout in the heavens.  We have to seek her …

Psalm 111:10 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever!

Allow me to invite you … to invite others into your life … age is not a factor … and then offer yourself to others in exchange … out of sheer love and with sincere affection.  Your life experiences ~~ your lessons in life ~~ may serve as a blessing upon the ones coming up behind you.

I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
