My favorite bloom in the garden bursts forth with the utmost unmatchable beauty and splendor in the hottest of temperatures. Inhale deep, Girlfriend ~~ she leaves behind a legacy of the sweetest aroma known to man.
The buds surrounding her will also open up to reveal their true selves ~~ and they, too, will emit their magnificent scent.
But it is in the heat that she grows and develops into this awesome creature. Before she even appears on the scene, she is nestled away within the confines of the branches ~~ being nurtured and fed until her appointed time. In fact, she’s not very “attractive” during her earlier stages of growth and development. But the Gardener KNOWS what is soon coming …
“Are you experiencing heat in this season of your life, Girlfriend?”
The Scripture verse above reassures us that GOD has us ~~ you can count on it!
Look at these two words straight from His Mouth: I will.
My eyes could not move from them … I will strengthen you … I will help you … I will certainly take care of you … These are PROMISES directly given to us as Believers in Christ. Believers KNOW when they hear from I Am …
I am with you … I am your God … HE is the Great I Am …
Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, “I Am Who I Am”; and He said, “You shall say this to the Israelites, ‘I Am has sent me to you.’”
Heat makes me SWEAT ~~ makes me uncomfortable ~~ clothes cling, hair frizzes makeup melts ~~ all that stuff! But life is like that … the heat will be there to enable us to grow. It is in the midst of our discomfort that we are closest to GOD. Isn’t it that we seem to find ourselves most humble and most in prayer when things get hot and uncomfortable? C’mon now, Girlfriend, let me know I’m NOT alone in my thoughts here!
What I have come to learn is that IN the heat ~~ I HEAR GOD better ~~ and I grab hold of His Promises even tighter.
His Righteous right Hand ~~ justice, power, victory, salvation ~~ will take hold of us and our seemingly crazy situation(s). Nothing is too great for Him.
May I encourage you this day, Sweet Sister, to HOLD ON to His Righteous Right Hand … and if you’re waiting or walking in the heat of your Season, be ASSURED that He has it already done.
