“They’re Coming Up”

O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood, and I constantly tell others about the wonderful things you do. Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me. Psalm 71:17-18 NLT

It just fills my heart ❤️ whenever I get to see my BabyGirl, Zoë. This Lōlie can’t get enough of her since we are a five-hour plane flight away ~~ I aim to make the absolute most out of every single moment. And now that she’s fully mobile she’s truly a challenge to keep up with.

I earnestly pray that The Lord will allow me to experience several decades to come with Zoë. But even so, I try to preserve little bits and pieces of tangible sweet God Reminders for her to savor in my absence. After all, she’s one coming up behind me.

I’ve written treasures in a Journal for her to have ~~ nuggets and gems ~~ from me to her. They include thoughts from times even before she graced the planet. I want her to know how excited I was to know she was coming ~~ my heartbeats ~~ treasured thoughts that expressed how special and wanted and loved she is. These are those gems that will remain even after I’m in Paradise.

Girlfriend, I encourage you to preserve those precious thoughts of yours in a Journal of some sort ~~ a glass jar ~~ wooden chest ~~ somewhere where your loved Ones can access the wisdom and knowledge that you want them to “hear” and receive from you when you have long gone ahead of them. The Generations to follow will have a treasure chest of memoirs that are beyond priceless ~~ declarations of faith and the steadfast love of God as told by the one who lived it and experienced it firsthand.

These will set the foundation of the Legacy of God’s Work in your Family Tree so that all Who do come up behind you will also have the awesome privilege to be Blessed, and be able to keep forging ahead according to His Will. The good and bad times should all be on record ~~ alongside the answer to prayer in those same moments and situations. This will also serve as proof positive that God has always been your Rock.

I like to record the mini lessons God teaches me and reveals to me in meditation and study. Together with Scripture verses and the events that occur where those same Scriptures and mini revelations were put to use. Everything comes together to form a how to live your best life without sounding like a lecture on life. No one wants to be lectured or “nagged.” Especially the Ones coming up behind you.

Let your creative juices flow ~~ there’s still time to act on this ~~ and you don’t have to do it everyday (no pressure). But do something.
