I find it interesting that GOD knows we will worry, even if we have His love abiding in us. He recognizes our human frailty and imperfection this side of Paradise. So He gave us this reminder.
Our Scripture verse reminds us that the best thing (which of course, is the GOD thing) to do is to bring our worries to the Lord in prayer. But it doesn’t stop there. We are told how to lift up these concerns in prayer: with thanksgiving.
Being thankful in a hard place is not easy, so I won’t try to make light of anyone’s situation. But that’s the blessing of believing Girlfriends and mentors in Christ — they can help lift our arms when ours are too weak to do for ourselves.
What we are reminded to do is be thankful knowing that our confidence is in the Omnipotent GOD of all creation. We trust knowing He is in control of all the details from start to completion.
- Describe at least one worry that you are thankful that GOD will handle. Put it in the comments below and we will be thankful alongside of you.
Father GOD, I am thankful that You are already taking care of ____________________________________________________________. I am fully confident that You know what is best, and that even if You choose to show me a totally different outcome from my own human reasoning, I pray that You increase my faith to accept that. Thank You for the privilege to come directly to You, in the Name of Your Son, Jesus. AMEN.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
