8For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB
Undeserved … unmerited … free … words that try to describe and define the Gift that GOD has given us through Jesus Christ.
For many of us, that look in the rearview mirror is an embarrassing sight. Things we willfully chose to do that we have forever regrets over. There’s no undoing or getting the opportunity to right the wrongs with a do-over. It is what it is.
But that’s where Grace steps in and changes everything.
Just as the recovery after a challenging workout proves the hard work put into the conditioning, Grace proves the favor of GOD to move you forward into your purpose.
There will be no short cuts or quick fixes. There may even be consequences to our previous actions. But how you navigate through all that is where the miraculous takes shape.
Speaking from personal experience, I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s in those messy, muddy and disgusting moments that we cry out the loudest to GOD. And He promises to hear us. The transformation of my heart and mind take as much time as the mess I created (and sometimes longer). The life lessons that the Lord has led me through as a result of my outcry help me to behold just a glimpse of His Love for me. He rescued me — continues to rescue me — often times, from myself.
Grace.
Let it pour over you … again and again and again.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~

*Thank you, Tauren Wells and Gary LeVox for this.
Thanks. Sometimes we step into a mess, not created by ourselves. God’s grace is a promise.

AMEN, Megin! I believe the opportunity for us to extend that Grace is in “seeing” that mess from His Perspective. God’s lens.

Beautiful, amazing, saving, unearned, underserved, yet freely given GRACE! Oh what a beautiful gift He gives us in Grace. And I believe He gives us His Grace so that we can give it away as we serve & minister to our brothers & sisters & those who need to find Him. Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts on His Grace, Linda ❤️
