Looking back through that rearview mirror can be a revelation of sorts — somethings we wish we had never been part of and other things we wish we could relive over and over again.
If you’re like me, Friend, the bad and ugly stuff reminds me of the unbelievable goodness of GOD. He didn’t have to redeem me, but He did. He didn’t have to pay the price for my sins, but He chose to. He could have declared my days done and said enough; but I live to tell you these things.
I had no idea what life could be like until His Grace reached down and touched me. Literally.
Forgive my failures as a young man,
and overlook the sins of my immaturity.
Give me grace, Yahweh! Always look at me
through your eyes of love—
your forgiving eyes of mercy and compassion.
When you think of me, see me as one you love and care for.
Psalm 25:6-7 The Passion Translation
The mere fact that I can rise every morning and praise Him for allowing me the breath to inhale and the mercy to exhale into this next day. Nothing shy of a miracle.
Whatever may be troubling you, Friend, that ‘something-something’ that you feel could have such a devastating impact on today or the next … let me assure you that GOD’s grace extends over it, around it, all over it and beyond. Just let Him have all of it. Nothing surprises the Lord or catches Him off guard. There was not an event that happened to you that He did not see before you said anything. He is more than willing to set you free from the worry of carrying the silent burden.
As you listen to this song from the heart, may your gratitude set the tone for your altitude this day. Look up.
I love you to Heaven and Back, Girlfriend ~~
